What this does and does not include

This is list-price arithmetic on four lines: object storage, block storage, egress and a pass-through of your compute spend. It excludes committed-use and enterprise discounts (which cut AWS bills materially), managed-service premiums (RDS, DynamoDB, SageMaker have no like-for-like EU price), support plans, inter-AZ transfer, and request/API charges. It is a directional estimate to frame a conversation, not a quote. The single line that moves most is egress: AWS charges $0.09/GB to the internet, while several EU providers bundle generous egress or bill a fraction of that. At scale, that line alone can dominate the difference.
